Each year in October, insurance companies make changes to their plans. I'll come to your kitchen table and review what you have now, if it works- great! If your needs have changed or your current plan isn't working too well, then lets reevaluate. It's all about what YOU need and want from your Medicare plan.
I will be here for the long term, you can almost always get a hold of me if you need me. You've got my cell number!
Everyone has different wants and needs for their insurance. I'd like to know what it is you are hoping for in your medicare coverage. Once we discover that, we can get you set up.
I am an independent health insurance broker. I represent the majority of companies & plans available in the area. What this means to you is that my services and loyalty belong to you-not some big company that pays me to sell their plan. I am more interested in finding out what YOU want from your plan.
Medicare Part A covers hospital stays, nursing facilities, hospice, and some types of home health care. There is a deductible for Part A, but in most cases it's premium-free if you or your spouse have paid taxes for the required number of quarters.
Medicare Part B is medical insurance for outpatient care and preventive services. It covers medically necessary services for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of certain conditions.
Medicare Part C, also known as Medicare Advantage, allows Medicare benefits to be provided through a private company approved and contracted under Medicare. This plan includes Parts A and B, and other benefits that Medicare may not cover, such as vision and dental services. It may also include Part D, prescription drug coverage.
Medicare Part D is a prescription drug coverage policy covering most generic and name-brand drugs. Its purpose is to help people faced with rising — or already high — prescription drug costs.
Most likely it is a reference to your drug coverage. The prescription drug penalty is 1% per month and based on the current average plan rate.
Here's an example:
Let's say you did not have a PDP plan. for 4 years.
4 years x 12 months in a year = 48 Months You will pay 48% of that years average plan.
2022 CMS released was $33
48 months (4 years) x 33 = $15.84
You will always pay this penalty on top of what ever insurance premiums you have.
